Who is FRIEND???

A friend is a person
to laugh and cry with,
An inspiration,
Someone who lends a helping hand,
though friends may not be forever,
And they may not end up together,
the memories of a true friendship will
last forever...

A friend is not a shadow nor a servant
But someone who hold
a piece of a person in his heart.
Someone who shares a smile,
Someone who brightens up your day..
What makes a person a friend?
Is by saying your Love will stay..

Friendship..

is a relationship between two or more people who hold mutual affection for each other. Friendships and acquaintanceship are thought of as spanning across the same continuum. The study of friendship is included in the fields of sociology, social psychology, anthropology, and philosophy. Various academic theories of friendship have been proposed, including social exchange theory, equity theory, relational dialectics, and attachment styles

List of friendships:

1.     Agentic friendship

a friendship in which both parties look toward each other for help in achieving practical goals in their personal and professional life. These friends help with completing projects, study for an exam, or help a friend move out. These types of friends value sharing time together, but only if there are no other priorities and the friend is actually available to help in the first place. Emotions and sharing of personal information is of no concern to this type of friend.

2.     Associate

not a true friend – sharing of emotional ties is absent. Example: a co-worker with whom one enjoys eating lunch or having coffee, but would not look to for emotional support. Many "friends" that appear on social networking sites are associates.

3.     Best friend (or close friend)

someone who shares extremely strong interpersonal ties with as a friend.

4.     Blood brother or blood sister

people related by birth. Also a circle of friends who swear loyalty by mixing the blood of each member together; the latter carries the risk of transmitting infections such as HIV.

5.     Bromance

a close non-sexual relationship between two (or more) men, a form of homosocial intimacy.

6.     Buddy (friendship)

a friend or a partner for a particular activity. Males, and sometimes females, introduce a same-sex friend as their "buddy", or a circle of friends as "buddies". Buddies are also acquaintances that one has during certain events. The term may also refer to an online contact, such as the AOL Buddy List. It also refers to a close friend.

7.   Casual relationship or "friends with benefits"

sexual or near-sexual relationship between two people who do not expect or demand to share a formal romantic relationship. This can also refer to a "hook-up".

8.     Family friend

friendship extended to family members of the friends. Close relation is developed in those societies where family ties are quite strong. This term is usually used in the Indian subcontinent.

9.Communal friendship

a friendship in which the friends gather often to provide encouragement and emotional support in times of great need. This type of friendship tends to last only when opposing parties fulfill the expectations of support for the relationship.

10. Internet relationship

form of friendship or romance which takes place over the Internet. Some internet friendships evolve into real-life friendships. Internet friendships are in similar context to pen pals. These friendships are also based on the thought that they may never meet in real life, they know each other for who they are instead of the mask they may use in real life.

Characteristic of Good Relationship

Today i will share of you about relationship
The first thing is we must know what exactly meaning of relationship.

Relationship is

As we know...relationship can be have good and bad relationship.
But for today we will learn about the types of good relationship.
There are 7 types of  good relationship is:

1. Both sides see the relationship as an opportunity to give
One of the basic relationship problems is selfishness. How does selfishness occur? In my opinion, selfishness occurs when someone focuses more on getting rather than giving. The more someone focuses on getting, the more selfish he or she becomes. That’s why the willingness to give is essential for good relationships. Both parties should see the relationship as an opportunity to give. This is the foundation upon which the other points below are built.

2. Both sides are willing to change
Nobody is perfect but everyone can grow. In a good relationship, both sides are willing to change. They realize that they are not perfect and there is still a lot of room for improvement. Instead of blaming their partner when something goes wrong, they look inside to see if there is something they can change. When both sides have this attitude, the relationship grows stronger and stronger.

3. Both sides are willing to admit mistakes
In a good relationship, both parties aren’t afraid to admit mistakes. Instead of being defensive, they openly admit the mistakes they make. They can then work together to correct the mistakes. This, of course, is not easy to do. It takes a humble heart to admit mistakes.

4. Both sides are willing to listen first
In a good relationship, both sides are good listeners. They are willing to understand their partner’s position first before trying to get understood. Doing this is much easier when both sides see the relationship as an opportunity to give (characteristic #1).

5. Both sides support each other
Not only are both sides willing to listen, but also they give what their partner needs. The law of reciprocity states that when we do good to others they will also do good to us. We reap what we sow. By supporting each other, both sides in the relationship get what they need.
6. Both sides are open to each other
Misunderstanding is one of the basic relationship problems. That’s why it’s essential that both sides are open to each other. When they have something they don’t like about their partner, they should communicate it rather than just keeping it in their heart. Of course, they should do so in a respectful way so as not to offend their partner.

7. Both sides have integrity
In a good relationship, both parties act in line with what they think and say. They keep their promises. This is important because they can then trust each other. This trust makes the relationship strong.
***
Conclusion
Relationships that have these characteristics will grow stronger over time. The relationships will be rewarding not just for the people involved, but also for the people around them. Why? Because by working together they can produce more value than they can ever do by themselves. People around them will get the benefit of this increased value.
Start applying the characteristics above in your life. If you do that, people who relate with you will notice and eventually do the same to you.
Looking at the above points, here are what you should do:
1.      See the relationship as an opportunity to give
2.      Be willing to change
3.      Be willing to admit your mistakes
4.      Listen first
5.      Support your partner
6.      Be open to your partner
7.      Have integrity
If you do them, you will be a good relationship builder.
